Doğum sonrası vajen sitolojisi

Özet

Ülkemizde doğum sonrası döneme ait çok az sitolojik çalışma yapılmıştır. Bu nedenle bu dönemde alınan vajinal ve servikal örneklerdeki hormonal etki sonucu meydana gelen hücresel değişiklikleri saptamayı amaçladık. Bu çalışmada, 32 post partum olgusunun 17-67. günler arasındaki vajinal ve servikal örnekleri sitolojik olarak incelenmiştir. Bu incelemelere göre 7 olguda (%21.8) tipik postpartum hücreleri, 4 olguda (%5,6) atrofik ve kısmen atrofik değişiklikler (2 olgu tamamen atrofik) saptanmıştır. Tamamen atrofik 2 olgu dışında tüm olgularda doğum sonrasındaki hormonal etkinin değişimine bağlı olarak değişik oranlarda intermediyet, prekornifiye ve kornifıye tipte yassı epitel hücreler görülmüştür. Ayrıca sadece bir olguda Arias-Stella hücreleri, 1 olguda "Clue Cell" görünümünde hücreler, 2 olguda ise kendida hifleri görülmüştür.

Abstract

In our country, very few cytologic studyies concerning the postpartum period has been made. For this purpose, we decided to detect the cellular changes that took place with the hormonal effects in the vaginal and cervical discharge in the postpartum period. In this study, the vaginal and cervical samples of 32 cases which were taken between 17-67 days were cytologically evaluated. According to these data 7(21.8%) of 32 cases had tipical postpartum cells, 4(15.6%) of them had atrophic and partial atrophic changes (2 of the 4 were totally atrophic) were detected. Except two cases which were totally atrophic, all cases contained different ratios of intermediate, precornified and comified type squamous cells. The presence of different ratios of these cells were attributed to hormonal effects in the postpartum period. In addition, in one sample Arias-Stella cells, in one sample Clue cells, and candidal hyphae in 2 cases were detected.
