Postmenapozal hastalarda alendronat kullanımının böbrek ve karaciğer fonksiyon testlerine etkisi

Özet
AMAÇ: Bu çalışmada postmenopozal osteoporozlu kadınlarda alendronat kullanımının karaciğer ve böbrek fonksiyon testlerine etkisini incelemeyi amaçladık. YÖNTEM: Tip I osteoporozu olan 65 hastaya, 6 ay süreyle günde tek doz 10 mg alendronat verildi. Çalışmaya alınan tüm hastaların tedavi öncesi ve 6 aylık tedavi sonrası serum SGOT, SGPT, total protein, albumin, üre, kreatinin düzeyleri incelendi. Ölçümler bir otoanalizör yardımıyla gerçekleştirildi.BULGULAR: Tedavi öncesi albumin değerleri 4,29±0,20, total protein 6,93±0,31, SGOT 23,40±5,62, SGPT 22,22±7,49, üre 28,96±7,18 ve kreatinin 0,80±0,15 olarak saptandı. 6 aylık değerlendirmenin sonunda albumin değerleri 4,29±0,22, total protein 6,88±0,28, SGOT 23,84 ± 4,68, SGPT 21,60 ± 6,26, üre 29,12 ± 7,39 ve kreatinin 0,83 ± 0,13 olarak bulundu (p<0.05).SONUÇLAR: Alendronat kullanımının serum SGOT, SGPT, total protein, albumin, üre ve kreatinin düzeylerinde anlamlı bir değişiklik oluşturmadığı gözlendi.
Abstract
PURPOSE: Our aim was to investigate the effects of alendronate on serum levels of SGOT, SGPT, total protein, albumin, urea, creatinine in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Sixty-five postmenopausal women with osteoporosis were given 10 mgr alendronate phosphate daily for 6 months. Serum levels of SGOT, SGPT, total protein, albumin, urea, and creatinine were investigated before and after the treatment. Measurements were made by using an autoanalyses. RESULTS: Pretreatment serum levels of SGOT, SGPT, total protein, albumin, urea, and creatinine were. respectively, as follows; 23.40±5.62 IU/ml. 22.22±7.49 IU/ml, 6.93±0.3 gr/dl, 4.29±0.20 gr/dl, 28.96±7.18 mgr/dl and 0.80±0.75 mgr/dl. Posttreatment levels of the same parameters were, respectively, as follows; 23.84±4.68 IU/ml, 21.60±6.26, 6.88±0.28, 4.29±0.22, 29.12±7.39, and 0.83±0.13. There was no significant difference between pre-and posttreatment values (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Our study showed that alendronate has no significant effect on liver and kidney functions. But, we need long-term studies to support this suggestion.
