Özet

BM Genel Kurulunun uluslararası hukukun sürekli gelişimi konusunda hayati bir role sahip olduğu şimdiden ortaya konulmuştur. Bu gö- rev özellikle uluslararası standartların ve prensiplerin kodifiye edilmelerini içermektedir. Bu makale çoğunlukla, Genel Kurulun Üçüncü ve Altıncı Komitelerinin çalışmalarının çıktılarına odaklanacaktır. Genel Kurul kararları çoğunlukla bağlayıcılıktan yoksundur. Ancak bu kararların çoğunluğu, sert hukuk normlarına dönüşecek bir potansiyele de her zaman sahiptir.

Abstract

It has been already proven that the General Assembly of the United Nations plays a pivotal role in the constant development of international law. This duty particularly covers the codification of international standards and principles. This article is largely dedicated to the output of the work of Third and Sixth Committees of the General Assembly. Most resolutions and decisions of the General Assembly seems non-binding. Nevertheless, most of them always have a certain potential to turn into hard-law norms.
