İleri yaşta akciğerin inflamatuar psödotümör olgusu

Özet

Pulmoner inflamatuar psödotümör nadir görülen, etiyolojisi bilinmeyen proliferatif bir lezyondur. Tüm pulmoner tümörlerin %0.7-1’ini oluşturur. Bu neoplastik olmayan bir süreçtir ve inflamatuar hücrelerin düzensiz büyümesi ile karakterizedir. Daha çok çocuk ve genç erişkinlerde görülür ve tesadüfen saptanır. Öksürük, göğüs ağrısı yakınmalarıyla başvuran elli yaşındaki erkek hastanın toraks bilgisayarlı tomografisinde, sol alt lob posterior segmentte düzgün sınırlı 38x44 mm boyutunda bir lezyon tespit edildi. Hastaya tanı ve tedavi amacı ile sol posterolateral torakotomi yapıldı ve alt lobdaki kitle çıkartıldı. Patoloji sonucu inflamatuar psödotümör olarak raporlandı. Olgumuzu nadir görülmesi nedeni ile literatür bilgileri eşliğinde sunduk.

Abstract

Pulmonary inflammatory pseudotumor is a rare proliferative lesion of unknown etiology and it accounts for 0.7-1% of all pulmonary tumors. This is a non-neoplastic process and characterized by irregular growth of inflammatory cells and seen in children and young adults mostly and, detected incidentally. A well-demarcated lesion measuring 38x44 mm was detected in posterior segment of the left lower lobe on computed tomography of the chest in a 50-year-old male patient who was admitted with complaints of cough and chest pain. The patient underwent left posterolateral thoracotomy for diagnosis and treatment and the mass lesion in the lower lobe was enucleated. Pathology result was reported as inflammatory pseudotumor. Owing to its rarity of incidence, we presented this case in the light of the literature.
