Combined laser peripheral iridotomy and selective laser trabeculoplasty for the treatment of pigmentary glaucoma

Özet

Pigment dispersiyon sendromu ve pigmenter glokom daha sık olarak genç, miyop, erkek popülasyonda izlenmektedir. Pigment dispersiyonu nedeni olarak çeşitli mekanizmalardan bahsedilmekle birlikte, daha çok konkav posterior iris yüzeyinin ön zonül liflerine sürtünmesi sorumlu tutulmaktadır. Bu çalışmamızda, pigmenter glokomlu bir olgumuza ait ultrason biyomikroskopi ile ön segment görüntüleme dahil klinik bulgular ve uyguladığımız kombine Laser periferik iridotomi ve selektif laser trabeküloplasti tedavisine ait yanıt irdelenecektir.

Abstract

Pigment dispersion syndrome and pigmentary glaucoma are relatively common diseases in myopic, young, male patients. Although various mechanisms responsible for pigment dispersion are proposed, the contact between concave posterior iris surface and anterior zonules is most accepted pathology in this entity. In this study, the clinical features including anterior segment imaging by means of ultrasound biomicroscopy and the response to the treatment protocol as combined laser peripheral iridotomy and selective laser trabeculoplasty will be discussed.
