Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, 11-18 yaş aralığındaki ergenlerin cinsiyeti kontrol edildiğinde, benlik saygısı düzeyinin boyun eğme davranışı düzeyini yordayıcı ilişkisinde denetim odağının aracı rolünün değerlendirilmesidir. Araştırmanın yönteminde, uygun örnekleme ile oluşturulan çalışma grubunda, ölçme araçlarından elde edilen veriler üzerinde, SPSS programı kullanılarak regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Samsun’da yaşayan 11 ve 18 yaş aralığındaki ergenler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada çalışma grubunu oluşturan 336 katılımcıya, Coopersmith Benlik Saygısı, Rotter İç-Dış Denetim Odağı ve Boyun Eğme Davranışı ölçme araçları uygulanmıştır. Cinsiyet kontrol edildiğinde, benlik saygısı düzeyinin boyun eğme davranışı düzeyini yordayıcı ilişkisinde denetim odağı düzeyinin aracı rolünün olduğu görülmektedir. Kısmi aracı ilişkinin negatif boyutta olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, benlik saygısı arttıkça boyun eğme davranışı düzeyinin düştüğü, devreye aracı rolüyle içten denetim odağı girdiğinde boyun eğme davranışının düzeyinin daha fazla düştüğü; benlik saygısı azaldıkça boyun eğme davranışının düzeyinin arttığı, devreye aracı rolüyle dıştan denetim odağı girdiğinde boyun eğme davranışının düzeyinin daha fazla arttığı değerlendirilmiştir.
Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate the mediating role of the locus of control in predicting the level of submission of self-esteem level when the gender of adolescents aged 11-18 is checked. In the method of the study, regression analyzes were performed by using SPSS program on the data obtained from the measurement tools in the study group formed by appropriate sampling. The study group consisted of adolescents aged 11 and 18 living in Samsun. In the study, Coopersmith Self-Esteem, Rotter Internal-External Locus of Control and Submission Behavior measurement tools were applied to 336 participants. When gender is controlled, the level of locus of control in the predictive relationship of self-esteem level to the level of submission is seen to be the mediator role. The partial mediation relationship was determined to be negative. As a result, the level of submissive behavior decreases as the self-esteem increases and the level of submission decreases more when the internal locus of control enters the locus of engagement; It was evaluated that the level of submissive behavior increased as the self-esteem decreased, and the level of submission behavior increased with the role of external locus of control.
