Effectiveness of the LUNA evaluated with visual analog scala

Özet
Ankara Hastanesi Kadın Doğum Kliniğinde yaşlan 34.35 ± 5.11, kronik pelvik ağrı yakınması bulunan 20 hastaya LUNA prosedürü uygulandı. Laparoskopik gözlemde en belirgin patalojik lezyon pelvik adhezyon iken bir grup hastada hiçbir pelvik patoloji saptanamadı. Pelvik ağrı, preoperatif dönemde VAS ile değerlendirildi. Tüm hastalarda preoperatif ve postoperatif sonuçlar karşılaştırıldı. Sonuç olarak kronik pelvik ağrı yakınması bulunan hastaların yakınmaları belirgin oranda azaldı.
Abstract
OBJECTIVE: The aim of the present study was to assess the effectiveness of LUNA (laparoscopic uterosacral nerve ablation) therapy in patients with chronic pelvic pain. STUDY DESIGN: Twenty women with chronic pelvic pain underwent LUNA therapy. Pelvic pain during preoperative and postoperative period (3rd month) was evaluated by postoperative results were compared. RESULTS: It was demonstrated that complaining of chronic pelvic pain had markedly diminished. CONCLUSION: LUNA operation in women with chronic pelvic pain is a safe and effective therapy method.
