A case of vaginal foreign body

Özet

Vajinal yabancı cisim çeşitli semptomlara neden olmakta ve tanı konmadığı takdirde komplike olabilmektedir.6 aydır tekrarlayan taş düşürme öyküsü ile üroloji kliniğine başvuran ve yapılan tetkiklerinde mesene taşı şüphesi uyandıran olgu sistoskopi ve diğer tetkiklerinin olağan olması üzerine servisimize yönlendirildi. Yapılan vajinal muayanede vajen arka forniksinde yaklaşık 2x1 cm sert kitle tespit edildi. Yabancı cisim ring forseps ile çıkartıldı. Olgu presentasyon şeklinin nadir görülmesi nedeni ile sunuma hazırlandı. Olayın tekrarlayıcı olması altta bir psikotik bozukluk olması ile açıklandı.

Abstract

Vaginal foreign bodies cause various symptoms and can be complicated if the diagnosis is misssed. The patient admitted to the urology department with a history of recurrent nephrolithiasis. There was a opacity 2x1 cm in diameters on the direct urinary system radyography, but the cystoscopic evaluation was normal and the patient was referred to our deparment. A 2x1 cm in diameters firm foreign body was revealed in the posterior fornices on the gynecological examination. The foreign body was removed out with a ring forceps. The case is interesting because of it's rare clinical presentation. The recurrency was explained with underlying psychiatric disorder.
