Abstract

Saitabat Village, which is connected to the Kestel district of Bursa, is a village 28 km away from Bursa and 9 km away from Kestel. In 2002, an association was established in the village with the name of Saitabat Village Women's Development and Protection Association. The association, established with the aims of increasing the self confidence of the women in the village, contributing to the family budget, helping needy people and most importantly, taking care of their culture is Turkey's first peasant women association. In the first 5 years they have volunteered to become a company that can serve 150 people at the end of 5 years. The association has created jobs for women in need in the countryside and has also reduced the migration from the villages to the city on this vantage point, which has contributed to the budget by purchasing products they have made. Since the conditions are verd hard, it is difficult to be a woman in this age, but this society serves as a model to the women peasants. The aim of this study is to demonstrate and to elaluate the work of this association through observation and interviews methods
