Özet

PANDAS (Streptokok ile ilişkili pediatrik otoimmün nöropsikiyatrik bozukluklar; paediatric autoimmune neuro-psychiatric disorders associated with Streptococci) streptokok enfeksiyonu ile ilişkili epizodik seyirli prepubertal ve ani başlangıçlı obsesif-kompülsif semptomlar ve/veya hareket bozukluklarını ifade eden bir terimdir. Bu yazıda pediatrist bakış açısıyla PANDAS kliniği ve tanı tedavide son bulgular gözden geçirilmiştir. (J Pediatr Inf 2012; 6: 101-5)

Abstract

The disorder known as 'PANDAS syndrome' (paediatric autoimmune neuro-psychiatric disorders associated with Streptococci) consists of an abrupt onset of obsessive-compulsive symptoms and/or movement disorders, a pre-pubertal onset, and an episodic course. In this paper, the latest research findings on diagnosis and treatment in PANDAS were reviewed with a pediatric perspective.
