Sayısal haritaların internet-intranet ortamında sunumu ve kullanımı

Özet

Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemlerinin temel amacı konuma bağlı karar verme süreçlerinde kullanıcılara yardımcı olmaktır. Dolayısıyla üretilen coğrafi bilgiye kısa sürede, ucuz ve basit yöntemlerle erişim büyük önem taşımaktadır. Sayısal haritalar belli bir datum, projeksiyon ve semboloji ile görselleştirilmiş coğrafî bilgiyi sunar. Bu sayısal haritanın kullanıcılara sunulmasında Internet/Intranet önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, sayısal haritaların Internet/Intranet ortamında sunumu ve kullanımına ilişkin esaslar, yöntemler ve teknikler açıklanmış; ağır sunumcu yöntemi ve durağan harita sunum tekniği ile geliştirilen bir uygulama sunulmuştur.

Abstract

The main objective of a Geographic Information System is to help users in their georelated decision support processes. Thus, it is very important to access geographic information in a short time by means of cheap and simple methods. Digital maps represent geographic information visualized with a symbology and a datum/projection system. Internet/Intranet play an important role to provide users those digital maps. In this study explained are principles, methods and techniques related with serving and using digital maps on Internet/Intranet environment. An application developed by using the method "heavy server" and the technique "static map display" is presented.
