Özet

Sınırları kesin çizgilerle belirlenmiş bir kadın hareketi tanımı yapabilmek zor görünse de özü itibariyle kadın hareketi, eril iktidara karşı koyup yaşamı kısıtlayan değerleri değiştirmek amacıyla ortaya çıkmaktadır. Her toplumsal yapının dinamiklerine göre farklı zaman diliminde ortaya çıkmakta ve öncelenen sorunsala ilişkin temel talepler değişiklik gösterebilmektedir. Bu söz konusu maddi koşulların değişkenliği, kadın hareketlerinin farklı toplumlarda, farklı zamanlarda birbirinden farklı söylem ve taleplerle ortaya çıkış sebeplerinden biri ve belki de en önemlisi olmaktadır. Bu benzer seyir, Osmanlı'da da son döneminden itibaren belirginleşen modernleşme/batılılaşma çabaları ile birlikte izlenmeye başlanmıştır. Öte yandan İslami hükümlerle ters düşmeme endişesinin öne çıkması, eşitlik vurgusunun sıklıkla dile getirilmesini de engelleyen nedenlerden biri olmuştur. II. Meşrutiyet'in ilanının ardından kadın hareketinin de milliyetçi söyleme eklemlendiği ve milliyetçi söylemle benzer bir dil kullanmaya başladığı görülmüştür. İslami vurgulara milliyetçi söylem de eklenmiştir. Eşitlik vurgusu eski Türk toplumlarında aranmaya başlanmış ve kültüre, geleneğe aykırı olmadığı ileri sürülmüştür.

Abstract

Boundaries determined by the exact line of definition of women's movement may seem difficult in esence the women's movement, put against the masculine power to change life limiting values arises.
