Özet

Romatoid artrit nedeni bilinmeyen, sinoviyal hücre proliferasyonu ve inflamasyonunun eklemde destrüksiyon yapması ile karakterize, kronik, progresif, otoimmün, sistemik, inflamatuar bir hastalıktır. Hastalığın progresif seyretmesi nedeniyle erken dönemde “hastalığı modifiye edici ilaçlar” kullanılmaktadır. Bu grup ilaçlar içinde, öncelikle metotreksat tercih edilmektedir. Bu yazıda romatoid artrit tanısıyla düşük doz metotreksat tedavisi altında izlenmekte olan bir hastada, akut parvovirüs B19 infeksiyonu nedeniyle gelişen pansitopeni olgusu sunulmuştur.

Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis is an chronic, progressive, autoimmune and systemic inflamatory disease which is characterized with synovial cell proliferation and inflammation of joints and may cause destruction of joints. Drugs to modify disease are used in early phase of rheumatoid arthritis because of progressive disorder. Methotraxate is preferred for the front line therapy. A case of rheumatoid arthritis was presented that the patient had developed pancytopenia due to acute parvovirus B19 infection during the low dose methotraxate therapy.
