Abstract
In this study, fuzzy inference systems have been applied to the modeling of the Earth's gravity field, which is one of the most important tasks of geodetic science. The classical way for modeling the Earth's gravity field is based on the least squares (LS) estimation of the-coefficients of the spherical harmonic function up to a certain degree and order. To this end, terrestrial, marine and space based gravity anomalies has been employed as observations of the linearised system of equation. In this study, GRACE (Gravity Recovery And Climate Experiment) satellite gravimetry data has been used for gravity field modeling. The gravity anomalies derived from the spherical harmonic coefficients of the first GRACE based gravity field model GGMOIS have formed the data set of the fuzzy system. The results have shown that the predefined accuracy for GRACE has been reached, and has approved that the fuzzy inference systems are convenient tools especially for geodetic problems which can be defined as input-output systems.
