Özet

Yaşa bağlı makula dejenerasyonu 65 yaş üzeri popülasyonda geri dönüşümsüz görme kaybının önde gelen nedenlerinden biridir. Geografik atrofi ise kuru tip yaşa bağlı makula dejeneresansının ileri evre formu olup santral makula tutulduğunda görme kaybı ile karakterizedir. Geografik atrofi tanısında renkli fundus fotoğrafı, floresein anjiyografi, fundus otofloresans ve optik koherans tomografi kullanılır

Abstract

Age related macular degeneration is the leading cause of irreversible blindness over 65 years of age. Geographic atrophy (GA) is the advanced stage of dry form of age related macular degeneration. It is characterized by central visual loss when the fovea attacked. Detection of GA can be achieved with a number of different imaging techniques, including color fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, fundus autofluorescence, spectral-domain optical coherence tomography
