Published Books in the Field of Number Theory in Ottoman during 19 th and 20 th Centuries

Özet

Bu çalışmada 19. ve 20. yy’larda Osmanlı’da sayılar teorisi alanında yayınlanmış olan eserler tespit edilerek incelenmiş ve değerlendirilmiştir. İncelenen kitaplar belirlenirken adında hesâb veya a‘dâd kelimeleri ile birlikte nazarî kelimesinin geçtiği kitaplar taranmıştır. Cebir kitaplarının içinde yer alan sayılar teorisi konuları incelenmemiş, yalnızca müstakil kitap olarak yayınlanmış olan eserler dikkate alınmıştır. Bu şekilde 1880 ve 1926 yılları arasında yayınlanmış olan 12 kitap tespit edilmiş ve incelenmiştir. Kitaplar tarih sırasına göre incelenmiş, yazarları hakkında kısa bilgiler verilmiş, kitaplardan örnek metinler verilerek değerlendirmeler yapılmış ve sonunda tüm kitaplar hakkında genel bir değerlendirme sunulmuştur.

Abstract

In this study, the books, published in the field of number theory in Ottoman during the 19th and 20th centuries, have been identified, examined and evaluated. While identifying the reviewed books, the books which have calculus or numbers along with theoretical words in their names have been scanned. The subjects of number theory in algebra books have not been examined, only published works as independent books have been taken into consideration. In this way, 12 books published between 1880 and 1926 have been identified and examined. The books have been reviewed according to chronological order, brief information about the authors has been given, evaluations have been made by giving sample texts from books and in the end an overview of all the books have been presented.
