Belediyelerin Turizme İlişkin Faaliyetlerini Değerlendirmeye Yönelik Bir Uygulama

Özet

Turistik bir yörenin turizm faaliyetlerini etkileyen bir çok faktör vardır. Turistleri çeken unsurlar arasında doğal yapı, coğrafi .konum, tarihi ve beşeri güzellikler yanında beldenin temel alt yapı sorunlarının giderilmesi ya da en aza indirilmesi önem taşımaktadır. Bundan dolayıdır ki, bir beldenin turizm bakımından gelişmesinde ve böylelikle ülke ekonomisine katkı sağlamasında yerel yönetimlere özellikle de belediyelere önemli görevler düşmektedir. Bu araştırma ile belediyelerin, bir bölge veya yörede gerçekleştirdikleri turizm faaliyetleri incelenmiş aynca Akçakoca Belediyesi'nin turizm ile ilgili (kültürel, tanıtım, çevre ve denetim) faaliyetleri hakkında yöre halkı vie turizm işletmesi yöneticilerinin görüşleri, belediyenin turizm ile ilgili görev, sorumluluk ve faaliyetlerine ilişkin literatür taraması yapılarak oluşturulan anket uygulaması ile betimlenmiş ve karşılaşunîmıştır. Buna göre, turizm işletmesi yöneticileri, belediyenin tanıtım faaliyetlerini yöre halkına oranla yetersiz bulmaktadır. Belediyenin denetim faaliyetleri hakkında ise, yöre halkının tutumu turizm işletmesi yöneticilerine oranla daha olumsuzdur. Aynca yöre halkının görüşleri, yaş, eğitim durumu ve meslek gruplarına göre, işletme yöneticilerinin görüşleri ise çalıştıktan işletmenin sınıfına göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermektedir.

Abstract

There are many factors that affect the attraction of a tourist destination. Apart from natural and geographical properties, a well-established infrastructure can also attract tourists. For mis reason, municipalities have important responsibilities in developing tourism and in turn developing national economy. The present study explores' the municipal activities in developing tourism in a specific region or resort. In this context, the tourism facilities of Akçakoca Municipality is described, and compared through a literature review on the responsibilities and duties of the -municipalities in developing tourism, and through a survey conducted among local people and managers of the firms in tourism sector. According to the survey results, when compared to local people, the managers are less satisfied with the municipality's presentation of the resort area. On the other hand, compared to firm managers, the public is hot contented by the inspection facilities of the Municipality. Besides, public opinion differs with respect to age, education and career groups, and the managers' view differs -. with respect to the category of their company.
