Özet
Bu çalışma, Kasım 2016 ile Aralık 2017 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında, Yumurtalık Koyu’nda lüfer avcılığında kullanılan bölgesel bir avcılık yöntemi incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla; öncelikle balıkçılarla yüz yüze görüşmeler yapılarak olta takımının teknik özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Daha sonra, balıkçılar tarafından yapılan avcılık operasyonlarına iştirak edilerek; operasyon detayları, kullanılan yemler, avlanan hedef ve hedef dışı türlerle ilgili gözlemler yapılmıştır. Bu gözlemlere dayanarak, yöntemin ekonomik ve ekolojik anlamda avantaj ve dezavantajları ile olası tehditler değerlendirilmiştir.
Abstract
This study was conducted between November 2016 and December 2017. Within the scope of the study, a regional fishing method used in bluefish fishing in Yumurtalık Bay was investigated. For this purpose; the technical specifications of the fishing gear were determined by making face to face interviews with the fishermen. Later, by participating in fishing operations by fishermen; observations were made on operation details, baits used and the target and non-target species. Based on these observations, the advantages and disadvantages of the method in economic and ecological sense and possible threats were evaluated. It also assessed how well the information obtained from the face-to-face interviews matches the information obtained from the surveys.
