Özet

Öz: el-Hâris b. Kelede, cahiliye döneminin başta gelen Arap tabiplerindenbiridir. Meslekî kabiliyetinin yanı sıra Hicaz bölgesinin önemli birkenti olan Tâif’te yaşaması, meslekî yeterliğinin İslâmî dönemde HazretiPeygamber (sav) tarafından onaylanmış olması isminin yazılı kaynaklardayer almasını ve sıklıkla anılmasını sağlamıştır. Bununla beraber el-Hâris’inkişisel hayatı ve meslekî faaliyetleri ile ilgili bilgilerin son derece az olduğugörülmektedir. Yine de Yarımada’nın diğer mütehassıs ve halk hekimlerinenazaran en çok tanınan eski Arap tabibi el-Hârîs b. Kelede olmuştur.Anahtar Kelimeler: el-Hâris b. Kelede, eski Arap tabibi, eski Araplardatıp, tabiplik.Abstract: An ancient Arabic physician al-Harith b. Kalada is a wellknown figure of al-jahiliyyah period as a physician. Information about hispersonality and medical career and many narrations attended to him wasnoted down by the later Islamic period cronicle writers due to being honoredby the Prophet (pbuh) who approved him a professional physician andadvised the patients to visit him for the treatment. Besides, he performedhis career in Taif a town in the center of the arabic peninsula, which madehim known all over the country. Though we know not much and clear abouthim, he is the most mentioned through the cronicles compared to other physicianssupposed to perform in different parts of the peninsula.Keywords: Al-Harith b.
