Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışma, üniversite öğrencilerinin ruhsal belirti düzeyleri ve etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipteki çalışmanın örneklem grubunu, bir devlet üniversitesine bağlı lisans düzeyinde örgün öğrenim gören, 1015 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Katılımcılara Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Kısa Semptom Envanteri (KSE) uygulanmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin değerlendirilmesinde Shapiro Wilk testi, Student t testi, Varyans analizi, Levene testi, One Way ANOVA, Welch testi, LSD ve Games-Howell kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin 698’i (%68,8) 21-25 yaş grubundadır. Öğrencilerde KSE puan ortalamasına göre, en fazla görülen semptomlar; depresyon, anksiyete ve olumsuz benlik bulgusudur. Verilerin değerlendirilmesi sonucu, cinsiyet, bölümü isteyerek okuma, aile tipi, gelir durumu, barınma durumu ve kendine fiziksel zarar verme değişkenlerine göre Kısa Semptom Envanteri (KSE) puan ortalamalarında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur (p<0,05, p<0,01, p<0,001). Sonuç: Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, cinsiyeti kadın olan, bölümü isteyerek okumadığını belirten, anne-babası olmayan, akraba yanı ve sosyal hizmetlerde kalan, sosyoekonomik düzeyi kötü, kendisine daha önce fiziksel olarak zarar verdiğini belirten öğrencilerin risk grubunu oluşturdukları belirlenmiştir.
Abstract
Objective: This study was conducted to determine the psychological symptom levels of university students. and the influencing factors. Method: The sample group of the descriptive type study consisted of 1015 students who were studying at the undergraduate level of in a state university. Participants’ Personal Information Form, and Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI) were applied. The data were evaluated using Shapiro Wilk test, Student t test, Variance analysis, Levene test, One Way ANOVA, Welch test, LSD and Games-Howell test. Results: A total of 698 (68.8%) students were in the 21-25 age group. The most common symptoms according to BSI score averages in students were depression, anxiety and negative self-concept.Based on the evaluation of data, a statistically significant difference was found between the BSI, gender, studying in the department willingly, family type, income status, housing status and physically self-harming variables (p<0.05, p<0.01, p<0.001). Conclusion: According to the results of the research, it is determined that the female gender , working in the department unwillingly, parentlessness, staying with relatives and in social services, poor socioeconomic level and history of physical self inflicting constituted the risk factors.
