Abstract

In our Country; the classical product support which provided in the past with the form of printed maps to civilian and military users, has become digital geographic product support produced with modern techniques parallel with developing computer technology. These products; welcomes the systems used for the purpose of defense needs in a wide range of variety and supports the projects of variety of public agencies and institutions in need of geographic information which is used for development purposes. Digital geographic information, which needs continuous upward trend, with the produced digital geographic data reviewed again; the data model used in production to be updated in accordance with the user needs and requires the design of the geographical databases according to this data model 1:25.000 Scaled Topographic Vector Database (TOPO25) has been established to convert the geographic data produced by the General Command of Mapping into a seamless structure by saving the data from file structure and configure the data with best suited models for the best way to represent the real world. Available geographic data used in the production of 1: 25,000 scaled digital maps, produced from aerial photos using digital photogrametric technique and conveyed in to 1:25,000 Scaled Topographic Vector Database after completed in the field.
