Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışma; cerrahi kliniklerinde yatan hastaların öğrenim gereksinimlerinin belirlenmesi amacı ile yapılmıştır.Gereç ve yöntemler: Kliniğimize çeşitli ameliyat endikasyonlarından yatan 80 hasta çalışmaya alındı. Bütün hastaların demografik ve klinik özellikleri kaydedildi. Tüm hastalara "Hasta Öğrenim Gereksinimleri Ölçeği (HÖGÖ) uygulandı. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hastaların %48.6'sı 48 yaş ve altında (yaş ortalaması:54.4±7.8), %52.3'ü erkek, %37.8'i ilkokul ve altı eğitim düzeyinde, %75.6'sı evli, %75.8'i daha önce hastaneye yatmadığı saptandı. HÖGÖ alt boyut puan ortalamaları; ilaçlar alt boyutu: 37.22±2.43, yaşam aktiviteleri: 38.31±4.78, toplum ve izlem:22.13±3.42, duruma ilişkin duygular:18.02±2.24, tedavi ve komplikasyonlar: 41.36±5.24, yaşam kalitesi:31.16±2.87, cilt bakımı: 20.13±3.8 ve ölçek toplamı 208.33±24.78 olarak bulundu.Sonuç: Hastaların öğrenme gereksinimlerinin daha yüksek olduğu ilaçlar, tedavi ve komplikasyonlara yönelik konularda eğitim programlarının düzenlenmesi, mevcut taburculuk eğitim içeriğinin gözden geçirilmesi be bu konuda hemşirelik eğitimlerinde dikkat çekilmesi önerilir

Abstract

Aim: This study is performed with the purpose of identifying the educational needs of patients hospi-talized in the surgery clinics.Material and methods: 80 patients who were hospi-talized with various surgical indications were included in the study. Demographic and clinical characteristics of all patients were recorded. The Patient Learning Needs Scale-PLNS was applied to all patients.Results: 48.6% of patients were 48 years old or youn-ger (mean age: 54.4 ± 7.8), 52.3% were male, 37.8% had education level of primary school or lower, 75.6% were married, 75.8% had not been hospitalized be fore. SPER subscale mean scores were found; drugs subscale: 37.22±2.43, life activities: 38.31±4.78, so-ciety and follow-up: 22.13±3.42, feelings about the situation: 18.02±2.24, treatment and complications: 41.36 ± 5:24, quality of life: 31.16 ± 2.87, skin care: 20:13 ± 3.8 and total of scale 208.33 ± 24.78; respec-tively.Conclusion: Organization of educational programs about the subjects which patients had higher edu-cational needs such as medications, treatment and complications, reviewing the content of current disc-harge education and drawing attention to this topic in nursing trainings are recommended.
