Abstract

The meaning of life and the problem of evil are always very important issue in nowadays as they were in the past. The problem of evil is one of the most important arguments of atheism against theism. Atheism, argues that existence of evil in the world didn’t permit the existence of God who is good and powerful. In the existential form of the problem of evil, the issue is handled with subjective experience of life, not with abstract statements. This study, firstly, deals with Albert Camus’s intellectual origins and his relationship with Christianity and Greek thought. Secondly, it evaluates Camus’s opinion about the meaning of life with his own concepts. Finally, it manifests existential form of the problem of evil in Camus’s works, and adds conclusions reached by him about the meaning of life and the existential form of evil.
