Özet

Bu çalışmanın temel ilgi alanları neden büyükşehir belediyelerine ihtiyaç duyulur? Büyükşehir belediyelerinin avantaj ve dezavantajları nelerdir? sorularıdır. Çalışmada kısaca, metropol belediye kavramı ortaya konulmaktadır. İlave olarak Türkiye'de 11 il belediyesinin büyükşehir belediyesine dönüştürülmesi senaryosu temelinde ortaya çıkabilecek sonuçlar tartışılmaktadır.

Abstract

The study primarily focuses on why there is a need for metropolitan municipalities and what are the advantages and disadvantages of metropolitan municipalities, In short, the concept of metropolitan municipalities is scrutinized in the study. In addition, the probable consequences of transforming 11 provincial municipalities to metropolitan municipalities in Turkey are discussed.
