Özet

Öz: Geleceğe ilişkin bireysel beklentilerin sorgulanması yoksulluk kıstaslarının sorgulanması kadar önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Havsada yaşayanların gelir düzeyini ve mal sahipliğini tespit etmek, yoksul olup olmadıklarını belirlemek ve beklentilerini gelir düzeyiyle ilişkilendirmektir. Çalışmada, 2012 yılının Ağustos ayında Havsa ilçe merkezi ve köylerinde gerçekleştirilen anket çalışmasının sonuçlarından yararlanılmıştır. Anket sonuçları analiz edildiğinde öncelikle dikkat çeken, büyük çoğunluğu tarımsal faaliyetle uğraşan Havsada yaşayan kişilerin görece olarak düşük gelir durumları olmuştur. Bu bağlamda gelir düzeyi ve malvarlığı durumları da tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Son olarak, gelir düzeyinin yaşanılan yerden ayrılmayı, yaşam memnuniyetini ve sa- tın alma gücü beklentilerini ne derece etkilediği sorgulanmıştır.

Abstract

Abstract: The questioning of individual expectations for the future is as important as questioning the poverty criteria. The aim of this study is to determine the level of income and assets of inhabitants of Havsa, to determine whether they are poor or not, and to associate the expectations with the level of income. The results of the survey conducted at the district centre of Havsa and its villages in August 2012 have been used and interpreted in this study. The most significant finding of the study was the relatively low level of income of the individuals living in Havsa, the majority of whom are engaged in agricultural activities. In this context, this study has also attempted to determine the level of income and the assets of the inhabitants. Lastly, the inhabitants of Havsa were asked to what extent their level of income affects their plan to leave Havsa, their life satisfaction and purchasing power.
