Özet

Anaplastiktiroidkarsinomu,tiroidbezininnadirgörülen, kötü prognozlu ve hızlı ilerleyen bir malignitesidir. Kitlenin lokal invazyonu ve trakeaya oluşturduğu bası etkisi nedeniyle, hastalarda stridor ve dispne ortaya çıkabilir. Hastalarda ölüm nedeni sıklıkla havayolu tutulumu ve metastatik hastalıklardır. Trakeotomi, palyatifbirtedaviyöntemiolmaklaberabersadececiddi solunumsıkıntısıolanhastalardadüşünülmelidir.Bizbu olguda anaplastik tiroid karsinomu nedeniyle solunum sıkıntısı ve trakeaya ulaşım zorluğu olan hastadaki trakeotomi yaklaşımımızı sunduk.

Abstract

Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma is a rare malignancy of the thyroid gland with poor prognosis and rapid progression. The local invasion of the mass and the pressure effect on the trachea can cause stridor and dyspnea. The cause of death in patients are often airway involvement and metastatic disease. Tracheostomy should be considered as a palliative treatment method, only in patients who have severe respiratory problems. In this case we presented our approach in patients with difficulty in breathing and tracheal access due to anaplastic thyroid carcinoma.
