Gaziantep’te Göç ve Yerellik Üzerinden Birikim Dinamikleri

Özet

Bu çalışmada Gaziantep üretim ve emek ilişkilerindeki gözlemlerden yola çıkılarak, üç birbirine bağlı iddia bulunmaktadır. İlk iddia, Gaziantep’te birikimin dinamikleri ile göç dalgaları arasında önemli bir ilişki olduğudur. İkincisi, her birikim düzeyine uygun mekanların sınıf, etnisite, aile ve cinsiyet ilişkileri ile birlikte üretildiğidir. Üçüncü iddia ise kentsel yapının dönüşümü ve üretim ilişkileri, aile, dinsel cemaat ve/veya hemşerilik temelli bir siyasal stratejinin de etkisiyle oluşmakta, ve Gaziantep’in emek ve sanayi coğrafyasını belirlemektedir.

Abstract

This study has three arguments based on the observations of the relationship between production and labour in Gaziantep. Firstly, this study argues that there is a important relation between the dynamics of capitalist accumulation and the waves of immigration. Secondly, it emphasises that the spaces adequate for the level of accumulation are produced together with class, ethicity, family and gender relations. Thirdly, the transformation of urban structure and the production with the impact of political strategy based on family, religious communities and “hemşerilik” define the geograghy of labour and industry in Gaziantep.
