Özet
Primary lymphoma is an uncommon malignancy of thethyroid, comprising between 1 and 5 per cent ofthyroid cancers It typically presents as a rapidlyenlarginggoiterwithassociatedcompressivesymptoms. Thyroid ultrasound and fine needleaspiration cytology and immunohistochemistry, remainthe main modalities used to confirm the presence oflymphoma. The majority of thyroid lymphomas arediffuse large cell of B-cell origin. The prognosis isgenerally excellent but can be varied because of theheterogeneous nature of thyroid lymphomas. Wereport two cases of primary thyroid lymphoma andhighlight the clinical issues and challenges posed bythis rare disease.
