Approach to Type 1 Choledochal Cysts: Case Series

Özet
Objective: Common bile duct cysts are rare congenital bile duct anomalies. In this study, we aimed to retrospectively evaluate the clinical and radiological findings of four adult patients with type 1 common bile duct cyst and, surgical procedures applied to them. Case series: Three patients (75%) were female and the mean age was 52.5 (range: 39-72) years. Common complaint of all patients were abdominal pain. After the examination, the patients were diagnosed with type 1 common bile duct cyst. All patients underwent Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy. Conclusion: Appropriate treatment of type 1 common bile duct cysts is primary excision and Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy.
