Özet

Amaç: Bu tanımlayıcı çalışma hidroksiapatit kök kanal dolgu patı (Bioseal) ile doldurulmuş polietilen tüplerin sıçanların bağ dokusuna yerleştirilmesiyle oluşan histolojik cevapları kapsamaktadır. Materyal ve Metot: 2, 10, 20 ve 40 gün periyotlarında, üç grupta toplam 12 sıçan kullanıldı. Her birine 2 Bioseal yerleştirildi. Sonuçlar: Bu sonuçlar in vivo koşullarda test edilen hidroksiapatit içerikli materyalin kök kanal dolgu patı olarak kullanılma potansiyelini göstermektedir.

Abstract

Background and Aim: The present descriptive work studied the histological reactions caused in the connective tissue of rats by implantation of polyethylene tubes, filled with a hydroxyapatitecontaining root canal sealer (Bioseal). Materials and Methods: Twelve rats were used, in groups of 3, for periods of 2,10, 20 and 40 days. Each animal received two Bioseal implantations. After removal of peri-implant tissues containing the test material, samples were fixed and histologically prepared for light microscope evaluation. Results: At each time period, the Bioseal implantation was surrounded by a non-inflammatory connective tissue capsule, gradually increasing in thickness, with time. By 40 days, an advanced healing process was observed with signs of well-tolerated biocompatibility, free of chronic inflammation. Conclusion: These results demonstrate the potential of the tested hydroxyapatite-containing material as root canal sealer in vivo.
