Metisilin dirençli Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA infeksiyonları tüm dünyada sorun olmaya devam etmektedir.Bu çalışmada hastanemiz mikrobiyoloji laboratuvarında klinik örneklerden izole edilen 92 metisiline dirençli Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) izolatının vankomisin, teikoplanin, linezolid, kinupristin-dalfopristin ve daptomisine duyarlılık durumları- nın belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. İzolatların antimikrobiyal duyarlılıkları E-test yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiştir. MRSA izolat- larının MİK50 ve MİK90 değerleri sırasıyla; vankomisin için 1 ve 1.5 µg/ml, teikoplanin için 1.5 ve 3 µg/ml, linezolid için 1 ve 1.5 µg/ml, kinupristin/dalfopristin için 0.19 ve 0.38 µg/ml ve daptomisin için 0.125 ve 0.75 µg/ml olarak belirlenmiştir. Tüm MRSA izolatları vankomisin, teikoplanin, linezolid ve kinupristin-dalfopristine duyarlı bulunurken, daptomisin direnci % 2 olarak belirlenmiştir. MRSA infeksiyonlarının tedavisinde ilk seçenek olarak tercih edilen glikopeptidlerin yanı sıra linezolid, kinupristin/dalfopristin ve daptomisinin de hastanemizde görülen MRSA infeksiyonları için iyi birer tedavi alternatifi olabi- leceği düşüncesindeyiz.

Abstract

Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection continues to be a worldwide problem. The aim of this study was to determine the in vitro susceptibility of methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains isolated from clinical specimens to vancomycin, teicoplanin, linezolid, quinupristin-dalfopristin and daptomycin. Antimicrobial susceptibi- lity of all isolates have been evaluated by E-test method. MIC50 and MIC90 values of MRSA isolates were determined as 1 and 1.5 µg/ml for vancomycin, 1.5 and 3 µg/ml for teicoplanin, 1 and 1.5 µg/ml for linezolid, 0.19 and 0.38 µg/ml for quinupristin- dalfopristin and 0.125 and 0.75 µg/ml for daptomycin. All isolates were susceptible to vancomycin, teicoplanin, linezolid and quinupristin-dalfopristin. On the other hand the resistance rate of MRSA to daptomycin was % 2. Although glycopeptides are preferred for the treatment of MRSA infection, linezolid, quinupristin-dalfopristin and daptomycin may be good therapeutic options for our hospital.
