Kirazlarda Yeni Bir Terbiye Sistemi: UFO

Özet

Dünyada kiraz yetiştiriciliğinde son 50 yıl içerisinde önemli gelişmeler olmuştur. Muhtemelen bunların en önemlilerinden biri yarı bodur anaçların geliştirilmesidir. Yarı bodur anaçların gelişimi ile Tall Slender Axe, Süper Slender Axe, Kym Green Bush ve Upright Fruiting Offshoots (UFO) gibi sık dikim yeni terbiye sistemleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu terbiye sistemleri ağaçları erken meyveye yatırmak, işçiliği azaltmak, bodurluk ve bahçede mekanizasyona imkân sağlamak gibi önemli avantajlara sahiptir. ABD ve İtalya gibi meyvecilikte gelişmiş bazı ülkeler bu yeni sistemler üzerinde çalışmalar yapılmaktadır. Ülkemizde de bu konulara ağırlık verilmesi ve bunların uygulamaya aktarılması gerekmektedir. Bu yayında kirazlarda yeni bir terbiye sistemi olan Upright Fruiting Offshoots sistemi hakkında ayrıntılı bilgiler yer almaktadır.

Abstract

There has been a worldwide important developments in cherry growing over the last 50 years. Possibly, the improvement of semi dwarf rootstocks is one of their most important. Semi dwarf rootstocks caused creating of new training systems such as Tall Slender Axe, Super Slender Axe, Kym Green Bush and Upright Fruiting Offshoots (UFO). The training systems have maintained high precocity and high yields. And also these systems have important advantages such as lower labor use, high density orchard, dwarf tree and the possibility of using machines. The developed countries such as US and Italy in fruit growing have focused the new training systems. So, Turkey need to focused the subject and be started to use the practices. In the review, Upright Fruiting Offshoots, one of these new systems, has been explained in detail.
