EKİNÖZÜ LAHDİ ÜZERİNE İLK DEĞERLENDİRME

Özet

“Ekinözü Lahdi” 2012 yılının Mayıs ayında Kahramanmaraş-Ekinözü İlçesi’ne tarafımdan yapılan bir ziyaret sırasında Yukarı İçmeler Mevkii’ni gezerken dikkati çeken bir lahittir. Arkeolog gözüyle daha yakından incelemek ve farklı bir yapıya sahip olduğu düşünüldüğünden bu lahdi bilim dünyasına kazandırmak amacı ile çalışmaya başlanmıştır. Lahit 1995 yılında Ekinözü Belediyesi tarafından gerçekleştirilen bir inşaat kazısı sırasında ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Çıktığı anda herhangi bir rapor tutulmamış olmalıdır ki belediyede de lahit ile ilgili olarak yazılı kayıtlara rastlanmamıştır. Kazıyı gözlemleyenlerin ifadesine göre; lahdin ortaya çıkarıldığı alanda lahit ile aynı malzemeden yapılmış defne yaprağı şeklinde bir de tas ortaya çıkarılmış ancak bu tas kırılmış ve herhangi bir kayıt altına da alınmamış olduğundan ve bu tasın lahit ile ilişkili olup olmadığı kesinlik kazanmadığından değerlendirmeye alınmamıştır. Alanda yine çok sayıda pişmiş topraktan su künkleri ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Çalışmada lahdin bulunduğu alanda herhangi bir arkeolojik çalışma yapılmadığından nekropolis alanında mı ortaya çıktığı veya buraya taşınmış mı olduğu, ya da ölü gömme adetleri ve lahdin nekropoliste ne şekilde durduğu konusunda bir şeyler söylemek pek mümkün olmamıştır. Bundan dolayı sadece ikonografik ve kronolojik değerlendirilmesi yapılarak yerel üretim olup olmadığı konusu irdelenmiş ve sonraki dönemlerde kullanım şekillerine değinilmiştir. Bu makale ile Kahramanmaraş Müzesi kayıtlarında olmayan lahdin bilim dünyasına kazandırılması sağlanmış olacaktır. Belki bu sayede eserin müzeye taşınması veya envanterlenerek kayıt altına alınması, ayrıca bulunduğu alanda arkeolojik araştırmalar yapılması da sağlanacaktır.

Abstract

“Ekinözü Sarcophagus” is a sarcophagus that attracted my attention while visiting the Yukarı İçmeler region during a visit to Kahramanmaraş-Ekinözü district in May 2012. It has been started to work in order to examine it more closely by looking at with the eye of an archaeologist and to gain this sarcophagus to the scientific world since it is thought to have a different structure. The sarcophagus was uncovered during a construction excavation conducted by the municipality of Ekinözü in 1995. No reports might have been kept at the time of its excavation as there were no written records about the sarcophagus in the municipality. However, according to the testimony of those who observed this excavation; a bowl, which was in the form of the bay leaf made of the same material as the sarcophagus, was uncovered in the same area, but that stone was broken and was not recorded. It was not taken into consideration because it was not certain whether it was related to the sarcophagus. In the area, a large number of burnt clay water pipes were uncovered as well. In this study, since any archaeological research was not carried out in the area where the sarcophagus found, it was not possible to say anything about whether the sarcophagus was uncovered in the necropolis area or if it was moved here, or how the burial customs were made and how the sarcophagus stood in the necropolis. Therefore, it has been scrutinized whether it is a local production by just evaluating iconographically, and it is mentioned the ways in which they are used in the following periods. With this article, the sarcophagus which is not in the records of Kahramanmaraş Museum will be gained to the scientific world. Perhaps in this way, it will be possible to transfer the work to the museum or to be recorded by taking its inventory, as well as to carry out archaeological research in the area where it was found.
