KOP SAVUNMASINA AİT BAZI BELGELERİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Özet

Kafkas Cephesi’nde önemli muharebe sahalarından biri de Kop savunmasıdır. Öyle ki Fevzi Çakmak Kop savunmasını İkinci Plevne Zaferi olarak nitelendirmektedir. Çok çetin mücadelelere sahne olan bu muharebelerde Rus kuvvetleri karşısında Türk kuvvetleri kahramanca mücadele etmiştir. Bu mücadele esnasında bölgede bulunan 3. Orduya bağlı kuvvetler önemli kayıplar vermiştir. Bu kayıplar ordunun resmi kayıtlarına yansımıştır. Bu resmi kayıtlarda özel işaret ve renklendirmelerin kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmamızda, Genelkurmay ATASE Arşivi’nden alınan belgeler ışığında, ordunun yazışmalarına yansıdığı şekliyle özel işaretlerle 89. Alayın komuta kademesine ait kayıtlar incelenmiş ve değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract

One of the important battlefields on the Caucasian Front is the Kop defense. As a matter of fact, Fevzi Çakmak describes Kop's defense as the Second Plevna Victory. In these battles, the Turkish forces fought heroically against the Russian forces. During this struggle, the forces of the 3rd Army in the region suffered significant losses. These losses were reflected in the official records of the army. It has been determined that special signs and colorings are used in these official records. In our study, the records of the command level of the 89th Regiment attached were examined and evaluated with special signs as reflected in the correspondence of the army in the light of the documents obtained from the General Staff ATASE Archive.
