Özet

Çocuk hakları kavramı, bir toplumun sağlıklı inşasında oldukça önemlidir. Her ne kadar bu kavram yasalarla güvence altına alınmış olsa da, uygulamada durumun böyle olmadığı bilinmektedir. Bununla birlikte çocukların da bu konuda yeterli bilgilerinin olmadığı bilinmektedir. Bu doğrultuda çocukların kendi hakları konusunda ne derece bilgili olduklarını belirlemek araştırmanın amacını oluşturmuştur. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgu bilim çalışması olarak gerçekleştirilen araştırmada, veriler “Genel Bilgi Formu” ve “Nitel Görüşme Formu” ile toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, çocukların %53,3’ünün erkek, %43,3’ünün 10-11 yaşlarında olduğu, %66,7’sinin altıncı sınıfa devam ettiği belirlenmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan çocukların yarısı 18 yaşın üzerini yetişkin olarak ifade ederken, %33,3’ü oyun ve eğitimi kendilerine yönelik haklar olarak belirtmişlerdir. Çocukların %46,6’sı kendilerini korumak görevini anne-babasına atfederken, %26,6’sı devlete atfetmiştir. Çocukların %20’si nüfuz cüzdanı olmadığında kişiliksiz kalacaklarını belirtmiştir. %56,6 oranında çocuk bedenlerinin kendilerine özel olduğunu, %10’u tüm çocukların beslenmesi gerektiğini, %36,6’sı engelli çocuklara, %30’u yoksul çocuklara yardım edilmesi gerektiğini, %56,6’sı düşüncelerini açıklayamazsa kendilerini kötü hissedeceklerini ifade etmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda çocuk haklarına yönelik eğitimlerin yaygınlaştırılması ve etkililiğinin arttırılması önerilebilir.

Abstract

The concept of children’s rights has significiant importance for building a society reliably. Altough this concept is guaranteed in the constitution, this is not the case in practise. Furthermore it is known that children dont have enough knowledge on this subject. From this point of view, the purpose of this study is to determine how much information the children have about their rights. In this study qualitative research method was used. Data collection was done by using common information form and qualitative interwiew form. 53.3% of the participant children was male, 43.3% was 10-11 years old and 66.7% was sixth grade student. While the half of the children were expressing adults over 18, 33.3% stated education and game as their rights. As the 46.6% of the children attributed the duty of protecting of themself to their parents, 26.6% attributed to the government. 20% of the children stated that they will be impersonal without their identity card. 56.6% stated that their body is special to them, 10% stated that all children should be fed, 36.6% stated that children with disabilities, 30% stated that poor children, should be helped and 56.6% said that they will feel bad if they wont be able to explain their ideas. According to the results of the study, increasin the efficiency and widespreading the tendency to the children’s rights can be recommended.
