Özet

Harput çevre köylerinde kutsiyet atfedilen mekânların ve bunlarla ilgili çeşitli inanç ve uygulamaların tespitinin yapıldığı bu çalışmada halk dindarlığının önemli bir boyutunu oluşturan ziyaret fenomeni din sosyolojisinin bilimsel yöntemleri ışığında incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Kutsalın bir tezahür biçimi olarak ortaya çıkan ziyaret fenomeni insanlık tarihi boyunca değişik formlar altında yaşanmıştır. Ziyaret fenomeni, ülkemizin hemen her yöresinde yaygın olarak karşımıza çıkan bir olgu olması hasebiyle önem arz eden bir konudur.

Abstract

This paper deals with the sites around Harput that are ascribed as sacred by the people, and the various beliefs and practices related to these sites and studies the sacred sites phenomenon, which constitutes a significant part of folkloric religion, with the scientific methods of religion sociology. The shrine phenomenon is a manifestation of the holy and it has existed in varying shapes throughout the history of mankind. Being a common case which is found in almost all parts of our country, the case of sacred sites is a matter of significance.
