Özet
Akdeniz Bölgesinin Adana Bölümünde yer alan Kahramanmaraş şehri özellikle 1992 yılından sonra yeni kurulan Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam Üniversitesi (KSÜ) sayesinde sosyo-ekonomik gelişimini daha da hızlandırmıştır. Bu araştırmada KSÜ Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Coğrafya Bölümünde okuyan öğrencilerin profili, beklenti ve sorunları incelenmiştir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda bölümden rastgele seçilmiş 387 öğrenciye 33 sorudan oluşan bir anket uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre, Coğrafya Bölümü öğrencileri sosyokültürel ve ekonomik birçok faktörden etkilenmekte ve sorunlar yaşamaktadır. Araştırmada bu sorunların çözümü, öğrencilerin üniversite ve bölümden beklentileri ortaya konmakta, çözüm önerileri sunulmaktadır.
Abstract
Kahramanmaraş city, which is located in the Adana subregion of the Mediterranean region, especially after 1992, thanks to the newly established Kahramanmaras Sutcu Imam University (KSU) the socio-economic development has accelerated. In this study, in the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts and Sciences of KSU, students' profiles, expectations and problems are examined. For this purpose, 387 randomly selected students from geography department were administered a questionnaire consisting of 33 questions. According to the findings obtained from this study, students in the Department of Geography are affected by many cultural and economic factors. And also the students live in many problems. In this study the solution of these problems, expectations of the students from university and geography department are presented, and also solutions to the problems presented.
