The following study entitled ‘The process of Aesthetic Experience in TheEagle’s Throne’ aims to analyze the process of aesthetic experience in thenovel of the most prominent narrator of the modern Mexican literature,Carlos Fuentes, focusing mainly on the principal characters of the narrative.The study comprises four parts: the first part aims to give briefinformation on Carlos Fuentes attempting mainly to explain the relationbetween his political formation and literary work; the second one providesthe reader with information over reader oriented theories; the third onemakes a summary of the theme and studies the structure of the text andthe time of narration introducing the main characters; the fourth partfocuses on providing information on the process of aesthetic experienceand analyzing the principal characters throughout the stated process.Keywords: Reader oriented theory, aesthetic object, aesthetic experience, aestheticprocess, cognitive perception, emotional experience, preliminary emotion,politics, absolute power.
