This study examined inspectors’ views on the effectiveness and applicability of new Turkish Language Curriculum, introduced in 2005. The participants of the study were 53 elementary school inspectors working in Kilis, Gaziantep, Mersin and Adana. These two large cities were chosen in order to have a representation of the whole country. A 31-item Likert type questionnaire was used to collect the data about inspectors’ opinions. The data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 16.00. According to the results, the inspectors have positive attitudes about new curriculum’s effectiveness and applicability.
