In this study, teachers and students’ views about using laboratory in science and technology courses are taken. Studies have been done with 37 science teachers who serving in primary schools the city center of Samsun and a total of 637 students who studying with in these schools. With this purpose, 5 likert-type questionnaires was used in research. According to the results of investigations, laboratory activities are not given enough in the majority of science and technology courses although there are laboratory in all schools, experiments cannot be done due to lack of equipment was found to be expressed approximately half of the teachers and 60% of students. 37% of students reported that teachers did not want make experiments. Especially 8 class of students prepared to solve the test instead of making experiments was observed. As a result, a significant proportion of teachers did not take advantage of the laboratories, even experiments made with materials that can be used in daily life not to be done was determined.
