The usage potential of social network sites for educational purposes

Nowadays, It is remarkable that increase the variety of Social Network Sites (SNSs) and number of SNS users. Sharing of the videos, photos, texts and sounds can be possible by using the SNSs, at the same time, online games which are embeded in them lead to growth in interest in these sites. In this context, in the study, usage of the SNSs by students were surveyed, and views of the students, pertinent to usage of these environments for educational purposes, were taken. Results were presented with percentage and frequency tables and the views related to using of SNSs for educational purposes analyzed by using Chi-square tests.
