In this study a literary text that is named "The Riddle" in 7th grade Turkish language lesson book prepared by Ministry of National Education has been examined in terms of discourse analysis and requested texts features in Turkish language lesson books. Document analysis method that is one of the qualitative research techniques has been used in this research. With the aim of to determine texts criterion requested texts features in Turkish language lesson books has been considered. This text also has been analysed with the aim of to determine intensive and surface construction in text. This research's conclusions can contribute to latter discourse analysis.
