This study was planned to define the organizational commitment level of instructors working in Ardahan University and to research the effect of selected demographic variables on the organizatioanl commitment level of instructors. To the study in which “Descriptive Survey Model” was used, from total 165 instructers (professor, teaching assistant, lecturer and research assistant), 96 persons attended voluntarily. In the research, “Organizational Commitment Scale” including 18 questions designed in the form of 5-point likert scale by Kartal (2003). For the statistical analysis of obtained datas, SPSS 16 package was used. Besides decisive statistics (frequency, avarage), according to the member numbers of groups and distribution of datas, in paired comparison t-test; and in multiple comparisons, single way anova was analyzed, the results were evaluated at the level of p < 0.05. It was established that “Organizational Commitment Level” of employees whose Organizational Commitment Level is 4.22 ± 0.63 differs in terms of emplyees’ place of duty (city centre or county), total service and period of service at their last place of duty (Ardahan University).
