Ovacık (karabük) ilçesinin nüfus özellikleri

Yerleşmelerin nüfus ve yapısı sürekli değişim halindedir. Zaman içerisinde kimi yerlerde nüfus artarken kimilerinde azalmaktadır. Bu durum yerleşim biriminin doğal, beşeri ve ekonomik özelliklerine göre değişiklik göstermektedir. Nüfusu geçen yıllar içerisinde azalma eğilimi gösteren ilçelerden birisi de Ovacık'tır. Ovacık, Türkiye'nin Karadeniz Bölgesi, Batı Karadeniz Bölümü'nde, Karabük iline bağlı küçük bir ilçedir. Çalışmanın amacı Ovacık'ın ilçe olduğu 1959'dan günümüze ilçenin nüfus yapısını ortaya koymak ve ilçede yaşanan nüfus azalmasına dikkat çekmektir. Çalışmada Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu tarafından 1960-2000 yıllarında yapılan Genel Nüfus Sayımı sonuçlarından, 2007-2008 Adrese Dayalı Nüfus Kayıt Sistemi (ADNKS) sonuçlarından, 2000 yılı ve 2009 yılı Göç verilerinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda Ovacık'ta nüfusun hızla azaldığı belirlenmiştir. Nüfus azalmasında; geçim sıkıntısı, doğal koşulların sosyo-ekonomik özelliklerin gelişmesine sınırlı olarak izin vermesi, ilçenin önemli kavşak noktalarına uzak olması ve istihdama dönük çalışmaların yetersiz olması gibi temel nedenler olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The population and structure of settlements are constant change. While in some places the population increased, the population is decreasing in some places in over time. This situation varies according to natural, human and economic characteristic. One of the districts that population tends to decrease over the years is Ovacik. Ovacik is a small district of Karabuk Province that in the Western of Black Sea Region. The aim of this study is to reveal the structure of population of the district since 1959 that become a district and to attract attention decrease in the population in the district. In the study, population censuses that were conducted in 1955-2000 by the Statistical Institute of Turkey and the results of address based population registration system results; also 2000 Registration system migration statistics have been used. Result of the study has been revealed that Ovacık population is rapidly decreasing. A result of the study was determined that population rapidly decreasing. This study showed that there are fundamental reasons such as lack of livelihood; the natural conditions allow limited development, to be away from the intersection of the county, inadequate investment and employment studies.
