Hasta hakları uygulamalarının hasta ve yakınları tarafından değerlendirilmesi

Son yıllarda gerek dünyada ve gerekse ülkemizde hasta hakları konusu giderek artan bir ilgi ve bu ilgiye bağlı olarak sağlık alanında yapılan değişiklikler dikkate değerdir. Sağlık çalışanları, uygulamaları sırasında hastaların haklarını korumaya giderek daha çok özen göstermektedirler. Bunun en önemli nedenlerinden birisi de hastaların "sağlık hakkı ve hasta hakları" konusunda artan oranlarda bilgilenmeleri ve bilinçlenmeleridir. Ülkemizde Sağlık Bakanlığı tarafından başlatılan hasta hakları uygulamalarının amacı hasta ve sağlık çalışanları arasında yaşanan veya yaşanması muhtemel sorunların çözümlenmesi ve hak ihlallerinin önlenmesidir. Bu bağlamda mevcut hasta hakları uygulamaları konusunda hasta ve yakınlarının görüşlerinin ortaya konulması önemlidir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, hasta hakları uygulamaları konusunda hasta ve yakınlarının görüşlerinin saptanmasıdır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma genel tarama modelinde olup, araştırma verileri araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden hasta ve yakınlarından elde edilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılanların %62.2'si hasta hakları yönetmeliğini okumadığını, %54.8'i hasta haklarının neler olduğunu bildiğini (veya bilmediğini), %48.6'ının haklarının ihlal edilmesi durumunda nereye başvuracağını bilmediğini, %64.4'ü mevcut yürütülen hasta hakları ile ilgili çalışmaları yeterli bulduğunu ve %90.7'si hasta hakları birimleri gibi sağlık kurumlarında sağlık çalışanlarının haklarını koruyan birimlerin kurulmasını istediklerini belirtmişlerdir.

In the recent years, both in the world and in our country, the increasing interest shown in patients' rights and the changes made in the health sector in connection with this interest, are worth paying attention to. The health workers are becoming more attentive to protecting the patient's rights during their applications. One of the most important reasons is that they are more informed and they have become more aware of the "health rights and the patient's rights" of the patients. The purpose of the patients' rights application, initiated by the Ministry of Health, is to resolve the current problems and the possible future problems as well as the disputes which may arise between the patients and the health staff. Within this extent, it is important to set forth the opinions of the patients and their relatives about the applications of patients' rights. The aim of this research is to determine the opinions of the patients and their relatives about the patients' rights applications. Tool and Method: The research is in the general scan model and the research data were obtained from the patients and their relatives who have accepted to attend the research. Findings: 62.2% of those who attended the research have not read the patients rights regulations; 54.8% know what the patient's rights are; 48.6% do not know where to apply in case the rights of the patient are violated; 64.4% find the existing work performed for the patients rights sufficient enough and 90.7% want that the units protecting the rights of the health staff be established in health institutions such as patients rights units.
