Sinif öğretmenlerinin umutsuzluk düzeylerinin farkli değişkenler açisindan incelenmesi: ardahan ili örneği

In this study, it’s been aimed to determine the level of elementary school teachers’ hopelessness and whether the level of hopelessness differ in terms of some personal variables. 117 elementary school teachers  who  were  randomly  selected among  the  elementary  school  teachers  working  in  the  Primary schools in Ardahan participated this research. A scale consisting of two par ts has been used to collect the  data. The fist part consists of  Beck Hopelessness Scale and the second part consists of the  General Information Form which was developed by the researchers of this study. Kolmogrov-Simirnov Test has been applied to the data  in order to determine the appropriate statistical way to analyze the data which had been collected in this research. According to the test, the data doesn’t have a normal distribution and the statistical analysis can only be done by using nonparametric tests. For that reason, Mann -Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis  H Test has been used to analyze the data. According to the data obtained from the study: the level of elementary school teachers’ hopelessness is low. In addition to that, in the analysis of the  second  part  of  the  scale  which  consists  of  General Information  Form  including  the  demographic variables  of  the  teachers,   it’s been  concluded  that  there  is  not  a  statistically  significant  difference between the demographic variables some of which are  the teachers’ gender, marital status, the grade of students  they  educate,  variabilities  of  their  families’  hometown  and the  level  of  their  hopelessness.However it’s also been concluded that  there is a statistically significant difference between the level of their  hopelessness  and  some  other  demographic  variables  which  are  their  age,  educational  level, seniority and the duration of working at the same school.

Bu  çalıŞmada,  sınıf  öğretmenlerinin  umutsuzluk  düzeyleri  ile,  umutsuzluk  düzeylerinin  bazıkiŞisel  değiŞkenler  açısından  farklılaşıp  farklılaşmadığının  belirlenmesi  amaçlanmıştır.  AraştırmayaArdahan Ġl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı İlköğretim okullarında görev yapan sınıf öğretmenlerindenrastlantısal  olarak  seçilen  117  adet  sınıf  öğretmeni  katılmıştır.  Araştırma  verilerinin  toplanmasında  2kısımdan oluşan bir ölçek kullanılmıştır. Kullanılan ölçeğin birinci kısmını“Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği”ikinci kısmını ise araştırmacılar tara fından geliştirilen “Genel Bilgi Formu”oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmasonucu  elde  edilen  verilerin  analizinde  kullanılacak  olan  istatistiki  yöntemin  belirlenmesi  için  iseverilere  Kolmogrov-Simirnov  testi  uygulanmıştır.  Uygulanan  test  sonucu  verilerin  normal  dağılımgöstermediği ve nonparametric testler kullanılarak istatistiki analizinin sağlanabileceği tespit edilmiştir.Bu  yüzden  verilerin  analizinde  Mann  Whitney  U  ve  Kruskal  Wallis  H  Testi’nden  yararlanılmıştır.Araştırma  sonucunda  elde  edilen  bulgulara  göre;  ilköğretim  okullarında  görev  yapan  sınıföğretmenlerinin  umutsuzluk  düzeylerinin  düşük  olduğu  tespit  edilmiştir.  Bu  bulguya  ek  olarak  sınıföğretmenlerine  uygulanan  ölçeğin  2.  kısmını  oluşturan  genel  bilgi  formun   da  yer  alan  demogratifdeğişkenlere  göre  öğretmenlerin  umutsuzluk  düzeyleri  incelendiğinde  ise;  öğretmenlerin  bazıdemogratif değişkenlerinden olan cinsiyet, medeni durum, okuttukları sınıf türü ve ailelerinin yaşadığıyer  değişkenleri  ile  umutsuzluk  düzeyleri  arasında  istatistiki  açıdan  anlamlı  bir  farklılık  bulunmadığısonucu  elde  edilmiştir.  Öğretmenlerin  diğer  demogratif  değişkenleri  olan  yaş,  mesleki  kıdem,  eğitimdüzeyi  ve  aynı  okulda  görev  yapma  süresi  değişkenleri  ile  umutsuzluk  düzeyleri  arasında  istatistikiaçıdan anlamlı bir farklılık bulunduğu sonucu elde edilmiştir.
