Jigsaw ve grup araştirmasi tekniklerinin ilköğretim 8.sinif öğrencilerinin matematik derslerindeki akademiik başarilarina etkisi

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of jigsaw and group research techniques on the  academic  success  of  8th grade  students  in  mathematics  courses,  and  find  out  the  opinions  of  the students on these techniques. In this regard, the study group of the research is composed of 48 students who studied in 8/A, 8/C and 8/D classes of an elementary school in a district  of Erzurum in the  2010-2011  academic  year.  Experimental research model  with  pre-test  and  post-test  control  group,  which  is among quantitative research methods, was used in the study. Triangles Academic Success Test, Group Research and Jigsaw Opinion Surveys were used as data collection tools. In view of the obtained data, it was  concluded  that  the  group  research  and  jigsaw  techniques  are  more  effective  in  increasing  the academic success compared to the traditional method; jigsaw technique is more effective  in increasing the  academic  success  compared  to  the  group  research  technique;  the  students  in  group  research  and jigsaw groups stated positive opinions on the techniques that were used in the research.

Bu  araştırmanın  amacı;  jigsaw  ve  grup  araştırması  tekniklerinin  ilköğretim  8.sınıf öğrencilerinin matematik derslerindeki akademik başarılarına etkisini vebu teknikler hakkında öğrenci görüşlerini  tespit  etmektir.  Bu  doğrultuda  araştırmanın  çalışma  grubunu;  2010 –2011  eğitim-öğretim yılında  Erzurum‟un  bir  ilçesindeki  İlköğretim  Okulu  8/A,  8/C  ve  8/D  sınıflarında  öğrenim  gören  48 öğrenci  oluşturmaktadır.  Çalışmada,  nicel  araştırma  yöntemlerinden  ön  test-son  test  kontrol  gruplu deneysel  araştırma  modeli  kullanılmıştır.  Veri  toplama  aracı  olarak  araştırmada,  Üçgenler  Akademik Başarı  Testi,  Grup  Araştırması  ve  Jigsaw  Görüş  Anketleri  kullanılmıştır.  Elde  edilen  verilerden; ilköğretim  8.  sınıf  Matematik  dersi  öğretiminde,  grup  araştırması  ve  jigsaw  tekniklerinin  geleneksel yönteme göre, jigsaw tekniğinin de grup araştırması tekniğine göre akademik başarıyı artırmada daha etkili  olduğu  ve  grup  araştırması  ve  jigsawgruplarındaki  öğrencilerin  araştırmada  kullanılan  teknikler hakkında olumlu yönde görüş belirttikleri sonucuna varılmıştır.
