The aim of this study to research the effects of parents’ educational level of Turkish Language Teaching students’ writing habit. In the study correlative investigation model is used. The universe of the study includes the students of Turkish language teaching students in spring semester of the 2010–2011 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 854 students of Faculty of Education, Malatya Ġnönü University; Faculty of Education, Elazığ Fırat University; Muallim Rıfat Faculty of Education, Kilis 7 Aralık University. In this study “Writing Habit Scala” which is developed by researcher is used. In analyses of the data, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used. At the end of the study it was seen that mothers’ level of education has influenced the Turkish language teaching students’ writing habit more than fathers’. In general, when parents educational level rise, Turkish language teaching students writing habits are improve.
