Germanikopolis (ermenek) nekropolü ve distyl in antis cephe planlı bir kaya mezarı

Günümüzde ç Anadolu'yu Akdeniz kıyısına bağlayan yollar üzerinde yer alan Ermenek, çağlar boyu yerleşim görmüş önemli antik yerleşimlerden biridir. Antik Germanikopolis kentinin üzerinde kurulu olan Ermenek ve çevresinde özellikle Roma döneminde yoğun olarak kullanılmış kaya mezarı yapılarına rastlanmıştır. lçe merkezi ve çevresinde yer alan sarp kaya yamaçlarına kadar oldukça geniş bir alana yayılmış kaya mezarları kentin nekropol alanını oluşturur. Nekropolde çeşitli tiplerde kaya mezarı örneklerine rastlanmaktadır. Germanikopolis (Ermenek) Nekropolü'nde konumuzu oluşturan distyl in antis cephe planlı kaya mezarı ilçe merkezindeki Akçamescid Mahallesi'nde, Belediye Garajının hemen üstündeki yamaçta yer almaktadır. Distyl in antis cephe planlı kaya mezarı iki odalı olmasıyla bu bölgede rastlanmayan ender bir plana sahiptir. Bu tip kaya mezarının en yakın benzerleri Pharax Nekropolü'nde yer alan yazıtlı iki kaya mezarıdır. Nekropoldeki diğer kaya mezarları cephe planlaması ve mezar odası düzenlemesiyle bölgeye özgü bir stil olarak karşımıza çıkmakta ve bu yerel stilin Roma etkileriyle harmanlandığı görülmektedir.

Germanicopolis (Ermenek), on routes connecting the central Anatolia to the Mediterranean coast, is one of the important ancient settlements having been settled down throughout the ages. The rock tomb structures, especially used intensely during the Roman period, were found at Germanicopolis (Ermenek) and around. The rock tombs which spread over a wide area including the steep rock slopes at the town center and around create "the necropolis" space. The samples of various types of rock tomb are found at the necropolis. The rock tomb with its distyl in antis façade planned which is in the necropolis of Germanicopolis (Ermenek) as our focus is located on the slope just above the municipal garage and in the town center, Akçamescid District. The rock tomb with its distyl in antis facade planned thanks to having two rooms has a plan rarely encountered in this region. The most similar ones of this type of rock tomb are the two inscribed rock tombs located in the necropolis of Pharax. While the rock tombs of Germanicopolis (Ermenek) appear as a style unique to the region with their front planning and burial chambers' setting, this local style is combined with the traces of Rome.
