Bedenin sosyolojik tarihi

Bedenin sadece biyolojik bir süreçten ibaret olmadığı kabulü ve toplumsal etmenler tarafından şekillendiği düşüncesi ile birlikte beden, toplumsalın içinde şekillenen çok önemli bir olguya dönüşmüştür. Artık beden düalist mirastan çıkıp sosyolojide görünür hale gelmiştir. Bu makalede bedenin sosyolojik tarihinin izi sürülmeye çalışılacaktır. Klasik sosyoloji literatüründe bedenin yeri tartışılarak çağdaş sosyolojideki bedensel söylem türleri açığa çıkarılmaya çalışılacaktır.

With acceptence of the idea that the body is not a biological process and is shaped by social factors, the body shifthed to a phenomenon which is shaped in sociality. Henceforth, the body detached from the dualistic tradition and came out in the sociology. In this article, sociological history of the body will be tried to be traced. The position of the body in the classical sociology literature will be debated and types of the body discourses in the comtemporary sociological theory will be tried to be revealed.
